PSL Girls HS Elite captures 1st Annual SILLC Tournament Championship on March 6th, 2010 at the Southpointe Fieldhouse
"Congratulations to all who attended Saturday night's First Annual SILC Lacrosse tournament. By all accounts it was a tremendous night of lacrosse, camaraderie, sportsmanship and fan support. I have participated in girls indoor lacrosse in this region for 14 years. Last night was clearly a milestone. The level of play was unprecedented and with three outstanding and evenly matched teams, determination of the tournament champion hung in the balance until the final buzzer. For those who were unable to attend, the championship game was a thriller with PSL opening an early 4-0 lead over Sewickley Academy, only to see the momentum quickly turn. SA went on a 5-0 run to lead 5-4 at the half, and extended that lead to 8-5 with 13 minutes remaining, capping an 8-1 run. Following a timeout, PSL tied the game with a three goal run and Becca Welsh scored what proved to be the game winner with less than two minutes remaining. However, the game was not secured until Erica Michel made a tough save just before the buzzer to seal the 9-8 victory." - Coach A.

Founded in 2009, the PSL HS Elite Girls roster has included players from the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 graduating classes of thirteen different area schools including: Ellis School, Fox Chapel, Franklin Regional, Hampton, North Hills, Peters Township, Seneca Valley, Seton La Salle, Sewickley Academy, Shady Side Academy, Chartiers Valley, Mount Lebanon and Upper Saint Clair.
Based on the success of our inaugural season in 2009, PSL has expanded to a second HS Elite team for the 2010 season. A few roster spots are still available to girls in graduating years 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. For further information, please contact PSL.

PSL HS Girls Elite team wins Notre Dame 5v5 tournament!
The PSL Elite Girls Lacrosse team traveled to South Bend, Indiana last weekend (9/26/09) and returned to Pittsburgh as Champions of the Notre Dame 5 v 5 tournament. PSL competed against eight other teams and girls from many regions including: Philadelphia, Baltimore and Long Island, representing powerhouse clubs such as: Yellow Jackets, Heroes, Skywalkers, Phantastix, PA Express, NEMS, Metro, STEPS, M & D and others. PSL recorded 11 wins against only one loss. In addition to being recognized as winners of the tournament, Erin Fitch (Seton LaSalle) received the tournament “MVP Goalie” Award.
The PSL Girls HS Elite team completed its' historic, inaugural 2009 summer season while attending three national tournaments. The team's summer record was a very strong 9-3-2, highlighted by winning the Senior A Division Championship at the Brine Upper Atlantic tournament, (see below) held in Downingtown in July. The team lost only one of its' last 12 games.

PSL's Girls HS Elite team, comprised of 2011/2012 players, captured the Senior A Philadelphia Division (one of three Senior A brackets) championship of the 2009 USTC Brine Upper Atlantic tournament on July 12th! The Elite team defeated "91 Lacrosse" (Long Island, NY) in the semi-finals 7-6- and bested X-Treme Lacrosse (Long Island, NY) 9 -7 in the finals of the Philadelphia Senior A Division. 13 teams competed in the largest of USTC's three Senior A divisions. Other PSL games over the weekend included a 14 - 3 win over Penn Premier (Philadelphia) and 9 - 4 victory over SEPA White (S.E. PA). PSL started the tournament with a 7 -7 tie versus CINLAX of Cinnaminson NJ.
