The fee for the 2010 PSL Summer travel season is a base price of * $840 * for all HS and U-15 players.  (U13 and U11 team pricing to be posted soon.) 

* - NEW PSL players must purchase a standard uniform package for an additional $60.00, which includes high-quality,PSL-branded: reversible practice pinnie, game jersey, and game shorts. (for a total club fee of $900) 

Returning PSL players from any 2009 team can use last season’s uniform! (for a total club fee of $840)

ELIGIBILITY

•  U15 – must be 14 or younger as of 12/31/2009       
No player  who is currently in his freshman year of High School is eligible to play U15 even if he is age-appropriate.

•   HS – Must be graduating High School in 2011 or later (no 2010 graduates).

 •   All players must be current U.S. Lacrosse members prior to registration.  Each team will carry a minimum of 18 and a maximum roster of 25 players.     

TRYOUTS AND TEAM SELECTION
In the event that more than the target number of players for a team registers, Pittsburgh Select Lacrosse reserves the right to hold competitive tryouts and to extend individual player evaluation opportunities at early-Summer practices to interested and qualified players.

TRANSPORTATION, LODGING, MEALS & SUPERVISION are not included in the registration fee and are the responsibility of each parent.  It is expected that most parents will want to accompany and watch their sons participate.  In any event, parents are responsible for arranging transportation to and from the tournament site and providing supervision for their sons “off the field”. 

PRACTICES
Ten two-hour (max 12) practices will be held during June and July.  Two practices per week will be held from approximately 6:00pm to 8:00pm on two evenings per week on either Mondays/Wednesdays OR Tuesdays/Thursdays.  We will post exact times and field locations for the Fall and Summer practices as they are confirmed (South Hills team practices will likely be held at Cook School Field) and will also be posted to the website calendar and forwarded to each team member.  In addition to the practices, we hold at least one intraclub scrimmage during the Summer as well as a planned season-opening playday and a planned late-June playday against other agreeable and insured local clubs.

TEAM MANAGERS
To provide the best communication possible, each team will have a “Team Manager.”  This parent will be in charge of communication with their teams.  This will include alerting parents/players of practice cancellations via the Sports Logic team management system due to weather, team social events at tournaments (if desired), and distribution of any club communication to parents/players.  The team manager will be the first point of contact (after checking your Sports Logic team page!) if there are any questions concerning logistics and/or questions or concerns regarding the club.

Each team will each have a head coach and at least one assistant coach for the Summer season.

In addition to having excellent lacrosse credentials, all PSL coaches are have clearances through the National Center for Safety Initiatives (www.NCSIsafe.com) including PA Child Abuse History and PA Criminal History clearances, and are active U.S. Lacrosse Coach members.
 

COST AND CLUB OFFERING

This fee includes: 

-  Coaching by many of Western Pennsylvania’s most respected area Coaches.

-  Maximum roster size of 25 (min. 18)

- Sports Logic Team Management System – online communications and scheduling via email and text alerts

-  Team manager for each team.

-  All field expenses

-  Tournament fees for three (3) regional tournaments (travel costs are not included)

- Ten (max. 12) Summer Practices, intraclub (North vs. South) team scrimmages and one or two planned “Play Days” with other local clubs

Returning players from 2009 may use last season’s uniform!

- All players (new and returning) can also OPTIONALLY purchase a PSL team bag (29” KG-66LL) made by O’Neil KG Bags – www.kgbags.com) for an additional $60.00 when registering and paying online.  “Pittsburgh Select Lacrosse” as well as the player’s name and PSL jersey number (as shown below) will be embroidered on the bag.

- 7% team discount at QC Lax Store - off of their already discounted net pricing (not off retail list pricing...)

-  PSL is fully insured.

REGISTRATION
For those that have already registered online with the Sports Logic system for tryouts there is no need to register again.  

Online registration has provided us with most of the information we require including:

1.  Player profile (age, birthdate, position, clothing sizes, preferred #’s, etc.)

2.  Pittsburgh Select Waiver and Code of Conduct acknowledged

We will require additional information from you including:

-  Waivers for each of the three tournaments (all three will be sent together to each parent for signatures as soon as waivers are available)

PAYMENT OPTIONS
An initial (or full) payment of $140.00 of the base price must be received by Monday, February 15th 2010 in order for your son to reserve his roster spot. or your roster spot may be offered to another player.  There are two payment options:

Option #1 – Payment Plan: Use your credit card (VISA, MC, AmEx or Discover OR purchase a VISA payment card at your local bank) to pay via the Sports Logic online payment plan system by logging into your existing Sports Logic family account at this special invited-players-only link:  (link will be provided on personal invitations) 

                 - Payment #1 of $140.00 (uniform and/or team bag purchase amounts will be added to this initial payment) is due on or before February 15, 2010

                 - Payment #2 of $350.00 will be processed on March 15th, 2010

                 - Payment #3 of $350.00 will be processed on May 15th, 2010
